Drill Pipe

Drill pipe is the basic part of drill stem, used for deepening well bore, transmitting the torque and shaping the recirculation channel of drilling fluid. It’s composed by tube and connection, which are welded together by friction welding process. The mechanical properties of tube, connection and welding seam are all meeting the requirements of API 5D and API 7. In the light of the minimum yield strength, it can be divided into two groups: first, grade E drill pipe; second, all high-strength grade X-95, G-105, S-135 drill pipe.
